Dr. Reham AlNajjar, “Dr. A” grew up in Jordan. In 2011, she graduated from the University of Jordan School of Dentistry in her home country. She then attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry after moving to the United States and graduated in 2016. After completing dental school in two countries, she worked at a pediatric dentistry practice in Charlottesville, Virginia where she found her love for pediatric patients. She applied and was accepted into the pediatric residency program at VCU and graduated in 2019.
Dr. A earned scholarships at both University of Jordan School of Dentistry and VCU School of Dentistry for her hard work and clinical excellence. She enjoys speaking both English and Arabic and having opportunities to speak her native language in private practice.
During her residency Dr. AlNajjar completed a study comparing the antimicrobial efficacy of silver diamine fluoride and silver nitrate: an ex vivo study. This research was presented at the Annual Session for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in 2019.
Dr. Reham enjoys serving the dental needs of her community and often volunteers to help out in Mission of Mercy projects across VA, Jamaica project at VCU, and Give Kids A Smile®.
Outside of the dental office, she loves to spend time with her family and friends. She likes to hike, rock climb, and enjoys outdoor camping.
